Yes: It is possible that when you are kicking the soccer ball that some of that impact is affecting one of the nerves on the area and is causing pain. I think if it was a bone issue such as a contusion or even a stress fracture the pain would not come and go so quickly; but you could also be injuring one of the many joints in the midfoot. Don't hesitate to be seen if it is causing trouble.
