Possibly: Even though your whole head or body goes into an MRI machine, the images and evaluation are focused on specific areas. Sometimes an abnormality in an adjacent area will be noticed by a radiologist, but an MRI of the head does not fully image the throat and neck. On the other hand, throat cancer is rare in non-smokers who do not use tobacco. See an ENT if you are worried!!
