Common symptoms: are shortness of breath, fatigue, cough, chest pain, ankle swelling or fainting. Elevated heart rates may or may not been seen. Remember there are many causes of pulmonary hypertension, treatment depends on the cause. Diagnosis involves many tests but often sounds studies of the heart(transthoracic echocardiograms) and catheterization to measure blood vessel pressures are utilized.
