Skin, fat, bone, etc: Alterations in shape of skin, fat, muscle, bone, cartilage and other tissues as well as tumors can all be causes of facial asymmetry, diagnostic imaging is often required. Many options for treatment are available depending on the underlying cause. See a plastic surgeon, ENT or dermatologist for an initial evaluation.

Developmental: All faces have some asymmetry, some more than others. Mostly developmental, can be traumatic or due to disease. See an oral surgeon, ENT doc, or facial plastic surgeon for evaluation/options.
