Perhaps: Perhaps 1) you should see an ENT to have your sinuses evaluated, and 2) the course of your Orthodontic care should be reviewed. I trust you are seeing a fully qualified Orthodontic Specialist, as opposed to a generalist, for your Specialty Care. If so, perhaps a change in mechanics is in order.

Not likely: Not likely unless they relieved your symptoms in the first place. See your Dentist for evaluation. They might have been relieving some of your clenching and grinding, which can cause the symptoms you described. Good Luck. Make the Appt.
