Colposcopy: If you had an abnormal pap smear then the next step is an examination under a microscope called a colposcopy. This will evaluate the extent of the problem and will guide the next steps in management. Abnormal pap smears may indicate HPV changes or precancerous cells of the cervix. This is not related to uterine fibroids.
