No: There should be no increase risk of blood clots in relation to placement of dental fillings.

Yes, it is possible: If you have polycythemia vera, your bone marrow makes too many red blood cells. Local anesthesia can be the risk of bleeding and blood clots. Patients with Polycythemia vera have difficulty breathing when lying down in dental chair. Let your dentist know if you have this condition.
