This is normal: The blood clot typically disolves after 24-48 hours. Although, refrain from sucking through straws or other drinkng utensils as this can cause dry socket.

Sounds like : you have lost the clot and have exposed bone. Go back to the dentist and (s)he will pack it with medication to prevent a dry socket.

Evaluation: Patients cannot always determine the presence or absence of a blood clot in an extraction site, especially that far back in their mouths. It's important that you call your own dentist to check this out and determine if everything is healing normally or you require some follow-up care.

How do you feel: If you feel OK, you're OK. If you are in pain, or if you have other symptoms or just want to be checked, call the Dentist or specialist Oral Surgeon who did the extractions and request a post-surgical reevaluation.
