A member asked:

Are there any relations between heart attack and stroke?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Atherosclerosis: Both heart attack and stroke can be due to atherosclerosis. People who have had a heart attack have 2x the risk of stroke than those who have not had a heart attack. If you have atherosclerosis in the coronary arteries, it is likely that your have it in other parts of your body.
