A member asked:

Please tell me, could treatment for heart attacks cause strokes?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Heart attack: When we use thrombolytic agents or anticoagulants in the treatment of heart attack, they can be associated with strokes from bleeding into the brain. Every treatment we use has a potential risk as well as the potential for benefit. We always weigh the risk vs benefit of what we can do when making therapeutic and diagnostic decisions.
