Can something in the bathing water cause cause growths on the skin. i have gotten pimple like growths on my face and forehead.

Potentially: Generally we see this type of skin reaction, often called folliculitis, develop after exposure to contaminated water in heated swimming pools, whirlpools, and hot-tubs. The organism most often responsible is a bacteria called pseudomonas. Most improve on their own, and can often be treated successfully with antibacterial soap usage or occasional topical antibacterial ointments.
