Need evaluation: There are many potential causes of recurrent pain with hydronephrosis and inflammation after a pyeloplasty. You need to make sure that there is not a stricture (narrowing) that developed at the site of repair. Sometimes a kidney stone formed in the kidney might have begun to pass. UTI must also be ruled out. Talk to your urologist about appropriate tests.
