Insurance: Since u r pregnant you should qualify for Medicaid or the California equivalent and getting it started and beginning prenatal care is vital to your health and that of the baby. In the meantime you need to be seen by a PCP or urgent care to rule out a strep throat or other bacterial infection requiring antibiotics or flu requiring antivirals. Robitussin , warm salt water gargles, and Tylenol (acetaminophen) r OK.
