Long-acting stimu-: lants are effective for adults with a valid diagnosis of ADHD-Primarily Inattentive Type, which requires that significant symptoms of inattention caused harmful dysfunction at home & school for at least 6 mos. by age 10 years. Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) XR decreases sedative effects of Trazadone & Ativan, which interact to decrease concentration & motor skills. Thus, "ADHD" symptom-onset is vital for diagnosis.
