A member asked:

Would it be beneficial to speak with an endocrinologist regarding problems with edema?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly: Hi. We (endocrinologists) are very good at organ physiology and pathophysiology, fluid and electrolyte status, and the way things work (probably second only to pathologists...they're freakin' brilliant!). So, yeah, see an endo. For edema, I tend to think of heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, circulation, drug-induced, and idiopathic. See your endo for her/his impression. Good luck!
