It depends...: The two drugs are slightly different in that hydrocortisone is just a little more potent. However, both work similarly. As to using them regularly, the question becomes why the need for continued use. If you have a skin condition that is present whenever you do not use the cream, then it is a good idea to see your doctor about it so that it can be better assessed. There may be a more appropriate treatment.
