I would not: Why are you taking so much ativan (lorazepam) at such a young age. I would not take a "few" drinks at any time near taking the medication. This is a very powerful medication and should not be mixed with alcohol. I would not take alcohol until I have discussed such usage with your doctor.

Ativan (lorazepam): Two mgs of ativan (lorazepam) is a strong dose and it's effect may be dissipated after 12 hours but there is some possibility that there may be some interaction with alcohol after 17 hours if you're a slow metabolizer. If you feel any residual effect of the medication, Don't drink alcohol especially if you're going to drive.
