Migraine with aura: The symptoms you report are classic for migraine with aura. A headache will often follow the aura symptoms but sometimes just the aura is experienced without a following headache. In between episodes the person is normal with no neurological abnormalities. The diagnosis is made on the basis of history. No MRI is needed(it would be normal) For excellent patient info see: http://bit.ly/1uHRnYm

Sounds like: Your description is most consistent with a classical migraine aura, and hopefully reversed fully within a short period of time. However, if lingering symptoms persist, contact your doctor for further management.
