Multiple "menses" ?: Severe pain in one side with multiple bleeding episodes may be caused by pregnancy (obtain a serum HCG test) or by non-ovulatory cycles (common at age 16), or by an ovarian cyst (fluid filled area in ovary). See your healthcare provider for an exam and testing asap.
