Even if genetic, if he's heterozygous for the gene in question, he may have passed on the good copy of the gene to you. Live right, eat healthily, exercise regularly, and don't EVER smoke. Good luck!

Yes: Your coronary arteries are clean on testing. While reassuring, this is not a guarantee. Heart attacks can also be electrical, meaning an arrhythmia. Stay active, avoid metabolic swings and learn CPR. Be well.
