I DoNotBelieveAnyone: accurately knows. Like many diagnostic terms, ADD is only a label for generalities of behaviors which became accepted, yet represents only a superficial manifestation of a large variety of underlying issues. Thus the label (diagnosis) does not have any certain universal basis much less any great insight about bases (within the medical community) & even less known reliable treatment strategies.
