Taking prevacid (lansoprazole) for 8 weeks to heal erosive esophagitis from gerd. doc scoped me, but we can't find the cause. what can i take long term?

GERD: If you had erosive esophagitis, then GERD is the cause of your symptoms. You will have this long term, and you will require the use of medication long-term, most likely. If Prevacid (lansoprazole) is what he used to heal the erosions, that is most likely the same medicine that you will need long-term also to control the acid reflux. You should adopting a tie reflux measures also. Good luck.
