What are the long term health effects of having severe gerd since birth and being on adult doses of prevacid (lansoprazole) and omeprazole since he was 6 months old?

Possible : Intestinal overgrowth of bacteria and infection susceptibility but sounds like he is doing ok so far. Sometime you have to outweigh benefits and risks. Talk to your provider about this question. You deserve this answer from the provider in this case.
