Sore throat: could be a strep throat infection (a type of bacteria) or a virus. Would need to be tested to see if it is strep throat and then treatment provided with an antibiotic. Over the counter pain reducer like tylenol (acetaminophen) can help with discomfort. Talk with doc prior to taking any new medications and to have an exam.
