Hi, what can cause a high platet count, i have blood work done for military service and my platet count (plt) was 422 (max was 400) is that dangerous?

You're fine: Reference ranges are set so that several percent of healthy folks fall outside. Trusting you're not iron-deficient (too-frequent blood donation, ill-advised vegetarianism) -- this can drive platelets up. High platelets get to be concerning only around 700 or so.
