GERD: Gerd or gastro-esophageal reflux is an extremely common disease found in all age groups. The symptoms of a lump in the throat and frequent sore throats and voice changes make up a triad known as LPR or laryngeal-pharyngeal reflux. Acid from the stomach is ascending in to the upper esophagus.
