Relatively narrow.: nitrofurantoin is a common antibiotic used to treat urinary tract infections. For infections which are sensitive to it, it does a good job of treating them. Although it is possible to get C. difficile from any course of antibiotics, it is unlikely given a seven day course of nitrofurantoin. stick with your antibiotic, and take it until it is gone. Good luck.
