Hi can hiv stay dormant for 30 months and not be detected on hiv ag/ab combo testing?

In Theory: I suppose anything is possible but it is highly unlikely for someone with HIV to not react positive for 30 months - assuming the person is being tested regularly (every 6 months or so). HIV generally will show up on the ag/ab test within 6 months of it being contracted.
