Does having a cystoscopy hurt?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Some discomfort: Cystoscopy involves placing a telescope into the bladder to make sure there aren't any abnormalities involving the inner surface or within the bladder. The procedure is usually done in the office and utilizes a flexible scope which is much less uncomfortable than metal rigid scopes used in the past. You may have some pressure and discomfort with insertion of the scope but lidocaine jelly is used
