Is there a difference between generic and name brand otc meds? what do you prefer?

Difference = cost: There is usually little to no difference in generic versus name brand medications. The active ingredient and amount of the active ingredient should not be different. Generic medications usually undergo stringent testing to ensure little to no difference in effects. I prefer generic brands because these are usually less expensive.
