Maybe lifetime: You may shed the Epstein-Barr virus in your saliva on and off for the rest of your life. No big deal. EBV doesn't seem to be harmful to kids. Kissing is healthy; your husband has met the virus too and won't be harmed. Don't be afraid of viruses that most people have, and be thankful for family love.
