Needs diagnosis: I do not think that there is such a diagnosis as overactive sympathetic system. Your sympathetic system could be involved in many medical conditions such as withdrawal from alcohol or opiate, acute use of cocaine, or rare condition such as pheochromocytoma. but prognosis of these condition depends on proper diagnosis and treatment of underlying cause
