Increase fiber.: A good initial step to treat intermittent constipation is to increase the amount of fiber in your diet. You may even consider taking a dose of Metamucil each day. When increasing the fiber, it is important to increase the amount of fluid intake also. If this simple remedy doesn't help, see your doctor. Good luck.
