A member asked:

Can you tell me how the tear in esophagus can be diagnosed and who is the specialist to see, gi or ent?

Depends on: location. Endoscopy or CT scan is probably most productive. If the tear is at the junction between stomach and esophagus, the usual location, then GI. If it is in the neck or throat, probably ENT.
