MRI: Let your doctor know your concerns. MRI could be possible option.

It is possible. However, CT can show the bone anatomy better than MR. CT can help plan the resection better than MRI. If your doc is a hip expert and wants the CT for planning then I recommend getting it done, the benefit outweighs the radiation risk.
