Yes: increased risks: Yes a woman with a BMI OF 40 can get breast implants. However, this does involve a higher risk of complications. The following study from Johns Hopkins shows that complications are 12 times as likely for high BMI patients undergoing breast surgery. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21666541

Yes: Yes a woman of BMI 40 can get a breast augmentation, but many times women with a BMI over 35 can benefit from a breast lift that is like an augmentation using your own tissue. This ‘auto-augmentation’ avoids having to place a breast implant.
