Spotting: Spotting is just light bleeding. It may be the start of a period or, in some cases, it may even be a normal period. The question is whether this is just a late period due to the natural variation in cycle length or whether this is abnormal bleeding and there is no way to determine this on line. If you have been having unprotected intercourse, check a pregnancy test. Otherwise, watch what happens.
