May be tension : Most headaches in the back of the neck are tension headaches. But if other symptoms are noted like pain or nubness down one or both arms , or any weakness in the arms , a more thorough work up is needed. Check with your doctor and see if xrays or cat scans are warrented. Some pts will need nerve conduction test or EMG testing in the arms.

Could be tension or: Muscular , arthritis , uncontrolled high blood pressure , brain pathology etc. Go see your dr for accurate DX . Take care!
