Tendinitis: Discomfort posterior shoulder & snapping sound w. shoulder rotation suggests levator scapulae, LS, muscle spasm; snap as tendon is suddenly impinged by superior scapula spine; like guitar string being picked. Spasm secondary to LS conscripted to assist deconditioned superior trapezius muscle weakened from disuse secondary to AC separation. Physical Therapist w. a few grey hairs your best advisor.
