Ovulation: Ovulation is the cornerstone and reason for menstrual cycles. Ovulation is the process of preparing an egg by the ovary for impregnation and pregnancy. It is also the event of the egg being pushed out of the ovary to meet sperm to cause pregnancy. Ovulation usually happens just shy of halfway through the menstrual cycle.

See below.: If our periods are regular ovulation occurs at about 14 days prior to the menstrual cycle. If you are irregular, the best way to know is to get a prediction kit from the pharmacy.

Yes - roughly: Ovulation calculation can be reasonably accurate within a few days. I suggest tracking several cycles. Count 14d back from menses, look for day of BBT increase and ovulation day before, OPK gives 12-24hr advanced warning. Do this is you are planning pregnancy to time sex (helpful to me if you need help). Natural family planning has a high failure for most people. Best wishes.

Ovulate : Yes. Maybe 7-10 days after your period stops depending on the duration of your period. Looked at another way ovulation occurs about 2 weeks before your period starts.

Healthy lifestyle: There are no real trigger points for ovulation that a woman can control, but stress, body fat levels, and nutrition all contribute to ovulation. A good diet and healthy lifestyle will help.
