It is easy to Diagno: Pernicious anemia is caused by Vitamin B12 deficiency. Therefore a Blood test can measure the B12 level in the blood and give you/your doctor the answer to your question. It is usually associated with larger sized red cells(Macrocytic Anemia) and bone marrow shows megaloblasts.
