Shoulder sprain: Moving your shoulders forward places increased pressure on a small shoulder joint on the outside (lateral) aspect of the shoulder. Your symptoms may suggest a strain of the ligaments of that joint. If there is no visible change in the shape or contour of your shoulder, no pain at rest, nor any limitation of your daily activities, it is not worrisome. Eliminating painful activities helps.
