UTI: Cystitis in women may occur after sex if the urethra (tube from bladder out) undergoes trauma from the penis (depending upon position and aggressiveness) and becomes slightly swollen. This creates a physiologic partial obstruction and promotes infection. You can try the meds you have, but if they do not work ASAP see a doctor.
