Vitamin D: Vitamin D levels vary with sunlight and ethnicity. Darker skin people do very well with low vitamin D levels compared to non-Hispanic whites. That said, vitamin D in the USA (and most likely also in India) is available over the counter at the Pharmacy and are not expensive. In the USA vitamin D comes in 100 tablets per bottle in either 1000 or 2000 units per tablet. Here they are inexpensive.

Vitamin D deficiency: need to start vitamin D supplementation asap !! 4000 units of D3 daily with fatty meal and recheck in 3 months. there is protocols that suggest much higher dosing but I personally favor a gradual steady approach
