Yes: Ejection fraction is just one measure of your heart function. As long as you have not had any heart attack, your ef will improve. Anyway your present state is not bad at all. Ef 55% doesn't mean you have a 55% heart function. Normal in most of the people is 60 70 70 anyway. It will get better as long as you lead a healthy life and good exercise.
