Very unlikely: positive bone scan does not mean cancer any recent activity in the bone from recent healing,to a inflammation,to possible infection will cause hot spot on bone scan papillary thyroid cancer is not known to be super aggressive and the chance of metastases to the bone is super rare. check with your doctor most likely it will be something simple
