Not uncommon: 95% of thyroid nodules are benign. Some people get enlarged thyroids. As long as its not so enlarged it is pushing on structures there is usually nothing to do about it and no need to do anything. Anytime there is a nodule we determine what to do based on the size and nodule characteristics. We also make sure it isnt hyperfunctioning. I recommend you see an endocrinologist for this. Good Luck!
