Good nutrition: Fingernails are a good picture of your state of nutrition. Other diseases can certainly affect the nails, but if yours are thin and friable, you may be lacking in good vegetable proteins and oils, such as olive oil. Iron deficiency are related to brittle nails. Zinc and vitamins c, e, &a are also important and best gotten from brightly colored veges and fruits, whole grains etc rather than pills.
