A member asked:

Doc said the 0.04 hep c result could mean it picked up antibodies in my blood antibodies to what? and that result doesn't indicate exposure.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

To lots of things...: The doctor may mean "antibodies in general". We humans have millions of different types of antibodies to everything we are exposed to in life, from before birth, to the present day. These antibodies are inside of us, and are obviously different from one person to another. Lab tests for one antibody may pick up traces of other antibodies, so a NEG lab result may have a value slightly above zero.
