Writing very detailed lists, ongoing updating them about WHY you do what you do, though they drive results you are not happy with, would be a first step in understanding yourself, motivations & noticing options you might like better. Also, after finding options you like better, emphasizing/allowing&recruiting rewards for these new choices routinely helpful.
